Introduction

Sacrifice is often viewed as something painful, a loss, or even a burden. In the secular world, it is seen as giving up something valuable, sometimes reluctantly.

However, in Christ, sacrifice is not just an obligation—it is a way of life! A living sacrifice is one that is willing, active, and ongoing. It is not a one-time act but a continuous process of surrendering ourselves to God for a greater purpose.

The concept of sacrifice in Christianity is deeply rooted in love, obedience, and transformation. John 3:16 exemplifies this truth—God gave His only Son, Jesus Christ, as the ultimate sacrifice, so that humanity could be redeemed.

Similarly, Genesis 22:1-2 recounts how God tested Abraham's faith by asking him to sacrifice his son, Isaac, a demonstration of total trust and obedience. In Hebrews 12:2-3, we see that Jesus Himself became a sacrifice for the joy set before Him, enduring the cross because of the glory that awaited Him.

So, as believers, why should we offer ourselves as living sacrifices to God?

Why Should We Offer Sacrifices?

1. For the Sake of a Greater Purpose: Sacrifice is often a pathway to something greater. John 12:27 reveals that Jesus understood His suffering was necessary for the salvation of mankind. God gave up His Son to gain a world of redeemed souls. In our lives, the sacrifices we make today—whether in faith, service, or obedience—are investments into a glorious future both on earth and in eternity.

2. For Personal Growth: Sacrifice is the price of growth. Philippians 2:9-10 tells us that because Jesus humbled Himself and became obedient to death, God exalted Him and gave Him a name above every other name. Likewise, in our daily lives, we cannot attain career growth, spiritual maturity, or divine promotion without sacrifice. To excel in any field, one must sacrifice time, energy, and personal comfort. The same principle applies to our walk with God—spiritual growth requires the sacrifice of worldly desires.

3. For Survival: Sacrifice is not just a Christian principle; it is an ancient practice recognized even in traditional societies. Hebrews 9:14 reminds us that Christ’s blood was shed as a superior sacrifice, cleansing us from sin and giving us eternal life. Just as blood sacrifices were made in the Old Testament for atonement, Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice so that we might live. Without Him, there is no hope, no redemption, and no true survival.

4. For Relationship’s Sake: True relationships demand sacrifice. Whether in friendships, marriages, or even our walk with God, love is demonstrated through giving. John 15:13 says, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." Jesus showed us the highest form of sacrifice by dying for us. Similarly, Ephesians 5:2 instructs us to "walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." A relationship with God requires us to sacrifice pride, selfish desires, and worldly distractions to grow deeper in Him.

What Does It Mean to Be a Living Sacrifice?

A living sacrifice is one that is alive, active, and fully devoted to God. Romans 12:1-2 urges us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, and not to conform to the patterns of this world. Similarly, Romans 6:13 instructs us not to offer ourselves as instruments of sin, but as instruments of righteousness.

To be a living sacrifice means:

Total consecration to God—living in a way that pleases Him (Colossians 3:5-12).

Commitment to God's service—understanding that our lives are not our own but belong to Christ (Matthew 16:24-25).

A renewal of the mind—being transformed daily by God's Word and not swayed by the world (Romans 12:3, 1 Corinthians 10:31).

Being a living sacrifice is not a loss but a privilege! When something is offered to God, He preserves, protects, and elevates it. Even in traditional sacrifices, what is given to a deity is never harmed, but honored—how much more when we are offered to the Almighty God?

A life of sacrifice is a life of purpose, power, and divine fulfillment. Jesus did not lose when He sacrificed His life—He gained glory, dominion, and a redeemed people. Abraham did not lose when he was willing to sacrifice Isaac—he gained divine promises that outlived generations.

So today, what are you holding back from God? Is it your time, your talents, your obedience, or your full devotion? True sacrifice is not just about giving things up; it is about giving your all. And when you do, God’s rewards are beyond measureMay the Lord give us the grace to be true living sacrifices—holy, acceptable, and pleasing unto Him. Amen.

Topic: The Everlasting Arm of God

Preacher: Pastor Funso Adedayo (Regional Evangelist, RCCG Region 32)

Textual Source: Deuteronomy 33:27-28

The arm of the Lord is everlasting because He Himself is eternal—the Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8; 22:13). His faithfulness, love, and promises never fail or fade. Everything about Him reflects an unchanging and eternal nature (Isaiah 53:1). The everlasting arm symbolizes His power to save, deliver, and sustain through every season of life.

To experience the full advantage of God’s everlasting arm, one must receive a revelation through the Holy Spirit. This revelation opens doors to three key dimensions:

1. Knowledge – The Power of Understanding

Daniel 11:32b says, "...but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits."

Knowing God is not just about information—it is about intimacy. The deeper your revelation of God's arm, the greater your capacity for exploits. Understanding God’s nature gives you confidence to overcome challenges.

When the arm of God was revealed to the Israelites, it brought deliverance. Yet, the Pharisees missed out on its power due to their lack of spiritual understanding (John 12:38). Similarly, in Mark 10:46-52, Bartimaeus recognized the power of Jesus and received his healing, while others who lacked revelation remained unchanged. What you do with the knowledge of God determines the breakthroughs you experience.

 2. Strength – Empowerment Through God’s Might

Psalm 89:21 says, “With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him."

When God’s arm is revealed in your life, divine strength becomes your portion. Ephesians 6:10 urges us to be .."strong in the Lord and in the power of His might," while Philippians 4:13 declares, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

The arm of God empowers you to overcome limitations and transform your situation. Psalm 3:3 describes Him as the lifter of our heads, meaning He provides strength in times of weakness and hope in times of despair. No obstacle is too great when the everlasting arm is at work.

 3. Lifting – Divine Promotion and Elevation

1 Samuel 2:7 says, “The Lord maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.”

The everlasting arm does not only sustain—it also lifts. Deuteronomy 28:1b promises that if we obey the Lord, He will set us high above all nations.

A vivid example is found in Luke 5:1-11. Peter, an experienced fisherman, toiled all night but caught nothing. Despite his expertise, he faced failure until Jesus revealed His power. At His word, Peter’s nets overflowed with fish. When the everlasting arm is revealed, even your greatest struggles can turn into supernatural success.

Conclusion:

The everlasting arm of God is unchanging, unfailing, and ever-powerful. It brings knowledge for exploits, strength for endurance, and lifting for promotion. However, to fully benefit, you must receive a revelation of this arm through the Holy Spirit.

Are you ready to lean on the everlasting arm today? His power is available to lift you above every limitation and carry you into divine fulfillment.

Title: Walking in the Righteousness of God

Preacher: Bro. Elujide Timothy

Bible Text: Psalms 119:137

Introduction

Righteousness is more than just a right standing with God; it is the very nature of God Himself. He desires that we embody this divine nature in every aspect of our lives (Deuteronomy 32:4). To walk in righteousness is to align ourselves with God’s will, reflecting His purity, justice, and holiness in our daily dealings.

By default, humanity inherited a sinful nature from Adam—a corruption that separates us from God (Psalm 51:5). However, through rebirth—being born again—we are redeemed and called into righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 1:23). This transformation is not by human effort but by God’s grace, leading us to a life of holiness and obedience.

What Does It Mean to Walk in the Righteousness of God?

To walk in righteousness means to live a life guided by God’s Word, seeking to please Him in all things. It requires total obedience to His commandments, loving our neighbors, upholding justice, and showing mercy. It is a conscious, daily decision to follow God's path rather than our own desires.

How to Walk in the Righteousness of God

1. Seeking God’s Word – A righteous life is rooted in a deep hunger for God’s truth. We must actively seek His Word and allow it to shape our thoughts and actions. (Psalms 119:105)

2. Studying the Bible and Relying on the Holy Spirit – Knowledge of God’s Word comes from diligent study and dependence on the Holy Spirit for revelation (2 Timothy 2:6).

3. Living by Faith – Trusting in God's promises and relying on His strength enables us to overcome temptations (1 Samuel 2:9, Proverbs 3:5-6).

4. Walking in Obedience – Righteousness is demonstrated through obedience to God's instructions and will. A righteous person seeks to please God rather than man. (John 14:15, 1 Samuel 15:22)

5. Willingness to Make Sacrifices for God – True righteousness demands sacrifices—choosing God's ways over personal desires (Galatians 3:6). Walking in righteousness sometimes means letting go of comfort, personal gain, or worldly approval to remain in alignment with God’s will.

Reasons to Walk in the Righteousness of God

1. It Draws Us into a Close, Intimate Relationship with God – God cannot dwell where sin abides, but those who walk in righteousness experience divine intimacy and revelation (Genesis 18:17, Proverbs 4:18).

2. It Establishes a Firm Standing in God – A person without righteousness is unstable and easily tossed around by sin and the pressures of the world. Righteousness anchors us in God’s truth and stability. (Ephesians 4:14)

3. It Positions Us to Seek and Inherit God's Kingdom – A righteous life grants access to the blessings of God’s kingdom and His divine favor (Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 15:9, Isaiah 3:10, 2 Timothy 2:19).

Conclusion

Walking in righteousness is not an optional path for believers—it is the very foundation of our faith. God has called us to live differently, to reflect His holiness, and to be light in a dark world. Though the journey may not always be easy, He has given us His Word, His Spirit, and His strength to walk this path victoriously.

Let us choose today to walk in righteousness—not by our own ability, but by the grace and power of God. May our lives be a testimony of His righteousness, shining brighter each day until we meet Him in glory!

TOPIC: DECREE OF TURNAROUND

TEXT: Psalms 126:1-6, Jeremiah 24:1-6

Have you ever felt trapped, stuck, or limited in your life? Do you desire a breakthrough, a turnaround, or a transformation? The good news is that God is a God of turnaround, and He desires to bring freedom, favour, and joy into your life.

When the Lord turns again the captivity of Zion, it signifies that there are possibilities of a good turnaround and a change of story to testimony. Whenever you're conscious of captivity, you'll pray for heaven to speak freedom into that situation.

When heaven speaks to the person whose voice has been heard, favour, joy, and mercy will speak for that person. This means that God will intervene in your life, bringing solutions to your problems and turning your struggles into testimonies.

CONDITIONS FOR HEAVEN TO SPEAK INTO YOUR LIFE

To experience a turnaround in your life, you must meet these conditions:

1. Believe in Jesus Christ: Put your faith in the One who has the power to transform your life.

2. Have a Right Spirit and a Right Heart: Ensure that your heart is pure, and your spirit is aligned with God's will (Psalms 51).

3. Don't Doubt the Efficacy of God's Word: Trust that God's promises are true and will come to pass in your life.

4. Be Kind to People: Show love, compassion, and kindness to those around you.

5. Maintain a Good Relationship with God: Cultivate a deep, personal relationship with God through prayer, worship, and obedience.

6. Have a Clean Heart: Ensure that your heart is free from sin, bitterness, and unforgiveness (Job 17:9).

7. Draw Closer to God and Ask Him for Divine Revelations: Seek God's presence, guidance, and wisdom, and ask Him to reveal His plans and purposes for your life.

Just like Jabez, who called on God and experienced a tremendous change and testimony, you too can do so today. Prayer is the key to unlocking heaven's secrets and experiencing a turnaround in your life.

Secrets cannot be revealed except they are deeply searched in a place of prayer. This means that prayer is essential to discovering God's plans and purposes for your life.

CONCLUSION

Heaven can only speak into the life of those who are in connection with Him. Jesus is the centre of attraction. You can't get anything from Him with a manipulative heart, but with a heart that pants after God.

To experience a turnaround in your life, you must:

- Embrace Jesus

- Surrender all to Him

May heaven speak into your life today, bringing favour, joy, and mercy!
