THEME: ARISE AGAIN!
TOPIC: ARISE AGAIN WITH A MARITAL PERSPECTIVE
SPEAKER: PASTOR (MRS) OLUTUNDE
Text: Micah 7:8, Psalm 37:23-24
To arise again means to re-emerge, to get back on your feet. Life may knock you down, but don’t stay down. Stand up fast, dust yourself off, and move forward. God is not done with you.
In God’s design, the marriage door has only one entrance. There is no exit. It's a covenant, not a contract. Before stepping into marriage, a man or woman must know their purpose. Without a clear sense of who you are and where you’re going, you can easily lose direction.
“The wise woman builds her house…” (Proverbs 14:1). A woman is called to build her husband’s life, their home, and the generations that will follow. Men, the woman God sends to you holds the key to your growth, your stability, and even your greatness. Choose wisely. Don’t be led by beauty or status alone; seek God’s direction.
Marriage is only truly sweet when it’s done God’s way. His plan remains the best. Don’t entertain sin or compromise. Choose daily to live in a way that brings glory to God, including in your relationship. Before you pursue marriage, make sure you're first a child of God. Build a genuine, personal relationship with Him. That’s the only way to walk in wisdom and love the way God intended.
Reflection
- Have I allowed past disappointments to keep me down instead of rising again?
- Is my life, and especially my idea of marriage, aligned with God's word?
Affirmation
I rise again. I am not defined by my past, but by God’s purpose for my life. I am walking into marriage with wisdom, intention, and purity. As a woman, I am called, chosen, and empowered to nurture life. As a man, I choose a woman not by sight alone, but by divine instruction. My relationship will reflect God’s glory. My home will stand firm.
Next Steps
- Take time to reflect on your relationship with God and your understanding of marriage.
- Seek God's direction and wisdom in all areas of your life.
- Build a strong foundation of faith and love to navigate the challenges of marriage.
May God bless you as you arise again and walk in His purpose for your life!
